Lead Business Development | B2B Catering (all genders welcome)

Hamburg
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your Role

Freshly cooked food. Everywhere. All the time.

With our robots, we’re transforming the way the world cooks and enjoys food. Through technology that supports the foodservice industry, reduces food waste, and elevates culinary quality to a new, scalable level. Accessible to everyone. Everywhere. Anytime. We give our all to make this happen – across every level, team and function.

As Lead Business Development | B2B Catering you lead and grow a high-performing BD team, while staying hands-on in the field, winning strategic accounts yourself, and shaping how we go to market with our robotic kitchens. You own the function end-to-end: the team, the pipeline, the strategy – and you make sure every won opportunity lands cleanly in Sales.

These are the tasks you will be responsible for:

  • Team leadership & development: Build, coach, and develop a BD team that performs at a high level – setting clear priorities, creating accountability, and making your people better every week.
  • Strategic key account acquisition: Identify, prioritize, and break open high-impact lighthouse accounts in DACH – creating the strategic access and early buy-in that makes a deal possible in the first place.
  • Target account strategy: Define which accounts we pursue and why – aligning the team around a sharp account strategy based on brand fit, volume, rollout potential, and unit economics.
  • Pipeline development: Own the top of the funnel across all channels – building pipeline, qualifying fast, and ensuring a steady flow of well-developed opportunities ready for Sales to take forward.
  • Use cases & ROI: Shape compelling use cases and ROI narratives for executive-level decision-making – and help your team translate operational pain into deals.
  • BD–Sales handover: Own the interface between BD and Sales – ensuring every opportunity is handed over with full context, clear qualification, and a warm introduction so nothing gets lost in transition.
  • Partnerships & ecosystems: Build and activate partners to unlock strategic access and accelerate entry into priority accounts.
  • Cross-functional voice: Act as the voice of BD internally – aligning with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Leadership on priorities, feedback, and go-to-market positioning.

Your profile

You’re passionate about innovative technologies, excited about the role, and ready to help us revolutionize the worlds of tech and culinary even further? Let’s get cooking!

These are the qualities helping you thrive in this role:

  • Leadership experience: You've led a BD or sales team before – you coach, motivate, and hold people accountable while keeping the culture strong.
  • Industry background: You bring solid experience in hospitality and B2B catering – ideally from contract catering, corporate dining, or institutional food service (or similar). You speak your customers' language and understand their operations from the inside out.
  • Strategic BD / key account wins: You've personally opened and developed strategic accounts in complex B2B environments – creating access where there was none and building momentum with multiple decision-makers.
  • Target-account thinking & discovery: You prioritize the right accounts, build sharp outreach strategies, and qualify based on value, urgency, and stakeholder reality – and you teach others to do the same.
  • Commercial mindset: You shape compelling use cases, build business cases, and communicate ROI clearly to Ops, Culinary, and leadership audiences.
  • Collaboration with Sales: You know where BD ends and Sales begins – and you take pride in setting your Sales colleagues up for success with clean, well-qualified, well-contextualized handovers.
  • Stakeholder navigation & partner muscle: You're confident multi-threading across buying centers and know how to turn partners into strategic access and an active channel.
  • Ownership & pace (incl. travel): You lead by example, take end-to-end responsibility, and travel regularly across DACH for customer meetings, demos, and pilots.
  • German & English skills: You communicate clearly and convincingly in German and English – verbally and in writing.
